The companies are obliged to provide healthy and safe working conditions as a prerequisite for fast, efficient and timely fulfillment of the work responsibilities of the employees. Safety and protection at work is a way to ensure protection of their physical and psychological health, as well as to ensure dignity and humanity in working relations.

The measures, the obligations of the employer and the rights and obligations of the employees are regulated by the Law on Occupational Health and Safety  at Work, while the inspection of this area is carried out by the State Labor Inspectorate.

Ensuring healthy and safe working conditions is an obligation, above all, for employers, but also a role of workers and their representatives.
