The Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia stipulates that the rights of employment in the Republic of Macedonia are regulated by law and by collective agreements.
The collective agreements regulate the rights and obligations of the contracting parties, and may include legal rules governing the conclusion, content and termination of labor relations and other issues of labor relations.
According to the Labor Law, there are:
- general collective agreement for the private sector,
- general collective agreement for the public sector,
- collective agreements at branch level, according to the National Classification of jobs,
- and individual collective agreements at the level of the employer.
