In the Labor Law, Articles 108-111 stipulate equal pay for men and women.
The employer is obliged to pay equal pay to workers regardless of sex for equal work with equal requirements at the workplace.
Chapter VIII of the Labor Law refers to PAYMENT. In it, in two articles (105 and 106), there are established:
- The employee’s right to earning (in accordance with law, collective agreement and employment contract).
- It has been established that the salary is always paid in money.
- The law also provides the structure of the salary:
- basic salary,
- part of the salary for work success and
- bonuses.
- It is given the possibility for the employer to pay the 13th salary to the employee if the employer has the opportunity to pay it.
Pay day
1) The salary is paid for periods that may not exceed one month.
(2) The payment is paid no later than 15 days after the expiration of the payment period.
(3) If the day of payment is a day off, the salary will be paid no later than the next first working day.
(4) The employer is obliged to notify the employees on written of the day of payment and for each change on the day of payment.
Place and way of paying the salary
(1) The employer is obliged to pay to the employee the salary in the manner prescribed by law.
(2) The employer is obliged, upon each payment of the salary, as well as by 31 January in the new calendar year, to issue to the employee a written calculation of the salary, the contributions from the salary and the compensations for the salary for the payment period, or for the past year from which also the calculation and payment of taxes and contributions are also provided.
(3) The costs related to the payment of the salary are borne by the employer.
